Bamboo is an amazing plant. If you plant a bamboo shoot it does not appear to grow, sometimes for years. Then all of a sudden it shoots up growing a foot or more in a day. While it appeared to be doing nothing it was actually laying a strong and intricate root system. The more time I have taken in my life to examine, work on my root system the more I have been able to grow and shine on the outside.
What is your root system? How can you strengthen it?
Bamboo is an amazing plant. Its beauty and strength are mesmerizing, and yet there is more.
When planting bamboo it can take years to see any growth, in fact sometimes is looks like the plant has died. During this time when it appears nothing is happening, or that it has died, what really is happening is the bamboo plant is laying a network of roots. I very strong network, all unseen, underground.
When the root network is strong enough, then and only then, will you begin to see growth above the ground. This growth is spectacular, up to three feet in one day! The only reason bamboo can grow this much in a day is because of the strong network of roots it took time to lay down the year or two before, when it looked like nothing was happening.
This invites me to wonder; have I laid down sufficient network of roots for the growth I want to see in myself or others? Am I grounded? Do I have sufficient strength to keep focused on my growth? If not what can I do to strengthen my roots, who I am at the core?
What are your roots? what do they represent to you? How do they give you strength? How can you strengthen your roots?
